Rix Petroleum – media relations for the country set

July 5, 2016 By Nick Glaves

Like many companies serving the agriculture sector, Rix Petroleum’s annual business cycle is governed by the seasons. The company is one of the UK’s leading independent fuel suppliers serving rural businesses and residents from Scotland down to Essex, ensuring farms are kept running and homes are kept warm.

We have been retained by Rix Petroleum for more than five years to provide media relations services, highlighting the company’s products and services in relevant news and agricultural publications. Working closely with their marketing team, we develop stories that coincide with the busiest times of the agricultural calendar, from drilling, through the summer show season, to harvest and beyond. And in the run up to autumn and winter, we raise awareness of their boiler servicing facilities and domestic heating fuel, to ensure country dwellers are kept cosy no matter what the British weather throws at them.

In the time we have worked with the company we have placed hundreds of positive editorials highlighting all aspects of the business which further bolster Rix’s unblemished reputation and keeps the company at the forefront of their customers’ minds.

We have also provided social media management support and video production around the company’s search for the Young Farmer of the Year Yorkshire and Humber, profiling Rix Petroleum to the next generation of farmers and agricultural contractors across the region.

Rix Petroleum has a loyal and long standing relationship with farmers and rural all across the UK and we have a great relationship with Rix. The we continue to work together because our values are aligned – we both have the interests of the great British countryside, and all who live and work in her, at heart.

Nick looks after all of our PR work and has done so for a number of years now. Nick and his team bring back the core values of what good PR should be like. With his past experience as an editor, Nick offers a unique and priceless perspective about what stories work and how best to handle them. Nick helps me bridge the gap between new and traditional PR and adds value every step of the way. Always happy to help out at a moments’ notice and with excellent personable skills, I can highly recommend Nick and team – great job!
