Our PR strategy has achieved media coverage across a range of top-tier titles for supply chain consultancy Future Food Solutions, supporting with farmer and food brand recruitment.
Future Food Solutions came to us looking for PR support for a large regenerative agricultural initiative that they were involved with – The Sustainable Landscapes Humber Project. The project includes pea and arable farmers growing cover crops to sequester carbon and dramatically improve soil health.
Working with key stakeholders including Nomad Foods (owner of Bird’s Eye), Heineken UK, and Yorkshire Water, we devised a strategy to highlight the efficacy of cover crops to sequester carbon from the atmosphere, positioning farmers as the solution and not the cause of climate change. As well as the national and UK agri media, the food press was also targeted to get the message in front of food brands that regenerative agriculture techniques such as cover cropping to sequester carbon is a great way to make their supply chains more sustainable.
We achieved blanket coverage across the agricultural media and significant coverage in the food media and mainstream media including being featured on BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today program and BBC television news. This has led to award nominations for the project.
Steve Cann, a director of Future Food Solutions said “The Red Stag team combine an in-depth understanding of, and obvious passion for, agriculture, as well as extensive PR and marketing skills, and great media contacts. They have consistently delivered regular, high-quality media coverage for the projects we run across the national agricultural media and wider news media, including BBC TV. I can thoroughly recommend working with Red Stag Media.”
