K Fresh has been producing eggs for UK consumers for more than 50 years and supplies some of the country’s biggest retailers.
To keep ahead of consumer demands and the needs of major retailers, the East Yorkshire business is in the process of moving from enriched colony egg production to free range production. As part of this change, K Fresh has an ongoing programme of acquiring sites for free-range egg production and going through the planning process.
To aid with the public-facing elements of this transition, we were asked to write some web copy and some FAQs for the K Fresh website and do some photos and short videos for social media, online use, and future press releases.
We visited K Fresh and met with the owners Chris Kirkwood and his son, Tom. We had a brew and a chat and then Nick went away and wrote up the web copy and FAQs – a draft or two later and they were live on the site at http://www.kfresh.co.uk/free-range.html
Dan arranged a date and time with Tom to visit Green Acre Farm, an existing K Fresh free range site. Dan was on site for an hour which was plenty of time to get a set of images and videos to illustrate the work at Green Acre Farm and how the chickens live.
