OK, so it took two weeks to get our fiber-optic broadband installed – not great for a communications company. And when you’re rushing back to the office to meet a deadline you’re occasionally thwarted by a slow-moving tractor. But who cares about that when you’ve got these views just beyond the office door?
Yep, the Red Stag’s lair is in the heart of the sticks because that is where we love to be. Living in the country is great, but if you spend half your life in a city office and have family commitments at weekends you don’t get to enjoy it all that often. Our solution? Bring the office to the country.
Green Park Business Park sits between the villages of North Cave and Newport in East Yorkshire and was built by leading local developer Horncastle PLC. As soon as we saw it we knew it was perfect for the business; a modern, clean design with strong environmental credentials, combined with its rural location, matches Red Stag’s values closely. So enthusiastic we were, we were the first company to move to the park in August 2015 and haven’t looked back since.
OK, so it might not be surrounded by chic coffee shops and trendy café bars, but what we do have, just down the road, is a proper family butcher serving proper meaty sandwiches and at price that doesn’t make you squirm. And for those really important brain storming sessions … there’s a couple of pubs close by serving real ale. A pint of that never fails to fuel our creativity!
And the best bit? Because we own the Red Stag office, it is totally dog friendly. No more rushing home to feed and walk them, no more doggie day care costs, just a pair of contented canines snoozing as we work.
