Hi there. I’m Dan and today I want to talk to you about video marketing and how it can help your business.
Video consumption is huge – a third of all online activity is spent watching video. A THIRD!! It’s predicted that by the end of this year, online video will account for 74% of all online traffic. So if you want your business to look relevant, video is an absolute must.
Four times as many people would rather watch a video about a product or service than read about it.
And that’s a huge opportunity for you, especially if your rivals aren’t using video. Imagine a consumer searching for a product online and your product is in the top two results along with Brand X. Brand X has a just web page and some pictures, but you’ve got a video. You are four times more likely to get that consumer’s click and, therefore, the order.
Video is great for email marketing – put the word VIDEO in an email subject line and you will boost your open rates by 19%. And if you put a video in your email, you will increase your click-through rates by 200-300%.
Videos help leads convert – 90% of users say that videos are a helpful part of the decision-making process. And 64% of users say they are more likely to buy a product online after watching a video.
And please … don’t make the mistake of thinking video is just a B2C thing. It’s great for B2B with 75% of executives watching work-related videos on business websites at least once a week.
50% of executives look for more information after seeing a video about a particular product or service. And 54% of senior execs share work related videos with colleagues weekly.
If you needed any more convincing that video is worth exploring, ask yourself this … of the last 5 things you shared online with someone, how many were videos?
